We're all members of the SISD community and our mission statement is to help SISD students be successful by providing supplemental nutrition, hygiene products, and school supplies.



We're grateful for our incredible team that serves selflessly and fervently to provide feeding programs to four locations along with packs of  healthy snacks and food for additional children in our school district and community

Samella Williams

Founder/CEO

Samella is married to Butch Williams and they both are the proud parents of 4 wonderful children Shalia, Courtney Shamine and Christabel. They also have 7 grandchildren. Samella Williams is a proud business owner for 43 years at Sam’s Hair Salon 503 Gazley in Smithville, TX. 

Samella Williams has empowered many women across Texas who arrives at her place of business worried, broken hearted and heavy after spending time with Samella they leave beautiful, refreshed and with a deeper trust in God.

Samella Williams has enjoy being a Youth Pastor over 11 years. She is very active in her community served on all site base committee's and the School Board as a trustee for Smithville Independent School District 18 years and served on the Smithville chamber of commerce 4 year.

Recognize as one of the most distinguish women of Bastrop County.

In 2012, I founded Angels Unaware Ministry, a not-for-profit organization that addresses the problem of food insecurity among youth in the Smithville ISD. Angels Unaware provides qualified students with backpacks filled with healthy meals to be eaten over the weekends. That first year of operations we fed only 5 students, and today that number has grown 286 -300 students assisted. She also partnered with the summer feeding program through SISD and the back-to-school supplies bash. She is also a partner with the empty bowl project organization in Smithville. She also partners with DREAM organization providing Christmas smoke turkey dinners

Willie B. Williams

Wille B. Williams aka (Butch) is the husband of Samella, Butch is also the board President of Samella Williams Angels Unaware Ministry. Butch Williams is a truck driver for over 30 years, he started his own trucking company Lazy W Trucking in 1998 to 2009. He started working for Caldwell county 2 years and became disable. But his desire and compassion to continue helping in anyway he can to provide his service to this community. Butch is also a Deacon at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, were he also plays his guitar in the choir. He also Plays for a gospel group the Original Soul Invaders of Industry Texas.

Marie Outlaw Taught for 31 years and spent the last 10 years at the DEAP in Smithville, I retired in 2019. I am the widow of John B Outlaw and have lived in Smithville since 2008. I enjoy traveling with friends and family. I am committed to continue being active and working to help our community.


SHARON GILL

BOARD MEMBER

I'm Sharon. I've been married to my husband Jerry for over 30 years. I have 5 amazing and talented children, 6 beautiful grandchildren and numerous cute fur babies. I am known as the Charmed Yaya. I hold certifications and awards as a chocolatier, a Pastry chef, culinary chef, I have decorated cakes for over 50 years.  I am a master florist, and hold a CBA . Also a strong background in leadership, and Management , I love all things arts and crafts and I founded The King's kids puppeteers ministry alongside my parents over 48 years ago, Currently I am the  co-owner of Tommy Gunns Party Bus with my husband and the owner of Charmed. I love gardening but not very good at it. Also volunteering and helping people

Patty Montgomery - been married to my husband for 45 years. Have seven kids all beautiful in their own way, seven grandkids that are the light of my life.

Always enjoyed helping and sharing with others. So joining Angels Unaware was just icing on the cake.

 Cyndee Johnson is married to her high school sweet heart of 30 years, mother of four amazing children, and has had the opportunity to educate the youth of Bastrop County for 25 years.  She strives to live a positive, healthy, and balanced life, and shares her strength with those around her to build a better community for us all.

Jennifer gill

Hi everyone! I’m Jennifer, and I’m so excited to officially join the board after volunteering for many years. I take care of our social media and love connecting with our community!

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years, and we have one awesome son who is about to graduate from trade school—so proud of him!

I’m looking forward to continuing to grow and support our mission together! ❤️

Tarphine Spears

Hi everyone! My name is Tarphine Spears I've been married to my husband for 11 years I have 2 beautiful daughters, one whom recently passed away. I also have 2 grandchildren, whom I absolutely adore. This past year have been a struggle for me. I enjoy being a part of helping our community. I'm super excited about being a member of the S.W, Angel Unaware board. I also enjoy baking old fashion deserts, and arts and crafts.

 

We thank Sonic for their generous gift of food cards. Their support helped us purchase hygiene items for our Angel kids, Thanks to our amazing board for putting the Hygiene Bags together with love and care.

Thanks to Metropolitan AME Church for seeing our mission and vision in the Austin area. I’m honored to be chosen for this Destiny award.

It was an honor to be chosen for this award at my oldest aunt Mays church.

Because of her, our programs run smoothly, resources reach the right hands, and the children receive consistent support and encouragement.

We are grateful for her service, her reliability, and the heart she brings to this work. Her contribution makes a real difference in the lives of the children we serve.
